How to use this assessment
- Rate current proficiency: For each competency, select your team's present level (1–5). Be honest — gaps drive investment decisions.
- Review the gap: Gap = Target − Current. The tool flags priority by gap size and how safety-critical the competency is.
- Read the priority: High = large gap on a critical competency, close first. Medium and Low follow.
- Use the cost estimate: Indicative per-person figures in US dollars, built from published course pricing — see where these figures come from. Multiply by headcount for a budget envelope.
- Build a roadmap: Sequence training by priority. Use the 90-Day Sprint tool to integrate with other operational fixes.
Where these figures come from
Every rate below is in US dollars and is built from published pricing rather than assumed. One proficiency level is treated as one training intervention — a course, a module, a simulator slot. That is a modelling assumption, not an observed price, which is why these stay indicative. What you can do is check the arithmetic.
Anchored on · figures as at . Actual training design requires specialist instructional expertise and regulatory alignment (ICAO, and KCAA for East Africa). Quotations from an approved training organisation supersede anything here.
A JK engagement quantifies the gaps, designs the curricula, and integrates training into your 90-day sprint. Enter your details and we will come back within one working day.
